Balance is a crucial factor in precision sports such as rifle and pistol shooting. The ability to maintain stability while aiming and executing a shot significantly influences performance. This study examines the effect of reaction and balance training on the balance ability of rifle and pistol shooting players. Thirty competitive shooters (15 rifle and 15 pistol) participated in an eight-week training program that included specific balance and reaction exercises. Pre- and post-training balance assessments were conducted using a force plate and dynamic stability tests. Results indicate a significant improvement in postural stability and reaction time, suggesting that targeted balance training can enhance shooting performance.

The relationship between student personality and academic achievement has been widely explored in educational psychology, with emerging evidence suggesting that personality traits can significantly influence academic outcomes. This paper examines the role of the Big Five personality traits — conscientiousness, openness to experience, neuroticism, extraversion, and agreeableness — in determining student success in school. Conscientiousness has been consistently shown to be the most robust predictor of academic achievement. Openness to experience is positively associated with intellectual curiosity and creativity. Conversely, neuroticism negatively impacts academic performance by increasing stress and hindering concentration. Extraversion and agreeableness have more nuanced effects. The paper also explores interactive effects of these traits and advocates for tailored interventions that consider individual personality profiles.
